Your health pick
As people are getting more and more familiar with the idea of “prevention is better than cure,” related sectors such as health care, fitness and Food & Beverage are becoming hot trends in modern life. Our clients had been in nutrition supplement sector as a agents for years and would like to develop their own brand. The challenge was to stand out from hundreds of competitors by highlighting its competitive advantage and eye-catching package design.

Naming & Slogan
Since the brand’s strength was rearrange and create new application of patented ingredients, we called the products “ formula.” So we named the brand “formulist” to establish the image of expert. Chineses name was composed with three characters each of which stand for one brand DNA. 粹 meant natural patented ingredients; 方 the formula, and 研 the lab. To allow the following ads application more flexible, we gave two slogans: “Your health pick,” in which “pick” showed the sophisticated suggestion of the expert. And 「粹研密碼 重組你的___方程式」where we left a blank space for clients to play with according to the feature of products.

Logo Design
Health is built up in your everyday activities like diet and exercise. We applied the concept to logo design. From “t”all the way to “f,” the dotted line gradually become solid. Patterns was expanded based on the notion as well. A coherent but visually diverse identity generated impactful image for the brand.

Pattern & Package Design
Based on the “dots” of the logo, we extended the design on package using interesting dotted patterns. The layouts of the dots and the colors were customized according to the features of the products. The design helped the brand to stand out on the grocery shelf. In the meantime, it showed the brand’s personality - professional, friendly and sophisticated.

Photography
We wanted a modern and rational look to reinforce to image of “R&D and profession. Therefore, we created a scene that was similar to a lab and used an usual approach to present the story. Floating pliers and products resembling skyscrapers brought the audience an experimental setting and revealed the message of “the nutrition expert who with boundless imagination.”

Salden's redesign concept

Design: Alexey Seoev
Illustrator: Daria Subbotina
Project Type: Concept
Location: Rostov-on-Don, Russia
Packaging Contents: Craft beer
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Glass, paper

Salden's is one of the most famous craft breweries in Russia. The redesign should include the logo, the dividing of the entire brewery assortment (about 200 varieties of the drink) into two lines – usual and premium and creating a design for each of them. The project is a concept.

It was decided that a design of premium labels is to be based on a stylized and modernized classic scenario of several Western European fairy tales (such as the Little Mermaid, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, etc.), however, it’s main character should be turned into to a male - a so-called beergeek, an indie rock, a barbershop and an art-house fan! The illustration abounds with details and allusions. The form of the label remains unchanged, however, for different SKUs the fabulous entourage and the story changes.

Libera

Design: 43oz.com - Design Studio
Creative Director: Alex Kodimsky
Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
Client: Podgoria Vin
Location: Chisinau, Moldova
Packaging Contents: Wine
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Glass bottle, Paper Label
Printing Process: Digital printing, foil stamping, tactile varnish

Libera light table wines produced by Podgoria Vin is the first result of our collaboration with the winemaking company that is quite known on CIS and EU markets thanks to their quality bulk wines. However, after making the decision to bottle some of the wines from their expansive collection, the company has faced the necessity of creating a separate brand that would accurately reflect the concept and positioning of this particular line of table wines. This is what our studio has focused on, creating a new and original brand for the Moldovan market, which emphasizes the light character of the wines making up the extensive product line.

Libera is freedom, lightness, ease, airiness. In this case we’ve tried to create a label design that would completely replicate the name of the brand and its main concept. The feeling of lightness in the composition is achieved through the use of a small number of visual elements, selection of relevant font types, and application of soft, pastel tones for color differentiation of products within the line. The main visual element of the label is the illustration of a dandelion, the petals of which are being blown away by the wind. This image emphasizes the lightness and ease of Libera wines, which were created to be enjoyed during quiet moments with friends and loved ones.

Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
Client: Pietro Gallo Estate
Location: Sydney, Australia
Packaging Contents: Grappa and Liqueurs
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Glass, Clear permanent
Printing Process: Rotary flexo

Some dreams simply have to be realised, as was the case with John and Anna’s vision for Pietro Gallo Estate. The couple’s shared passion for seasonal produce and the fine art of distilling Italian spirits has led to the journey that has brought Pietro Gallo to life.

A love for fresh produce is something that brings people together and Pietro Gallo’s approach to locally grown and sourced produce perfectly celebrates that passion and commitment – from the rich King Valley Prosecco grapes grown at just the right altitude to create their distinguished Grappa, through to the estate-grown Lisbon and Eureka Lemons that make up Pietro Gallo’s acclaimed Limoncello, crafted right here on site.

The brief was to create the brand identity and packaging for their beloved Grappa (grape spirit) and a range of fruit liqueurs. The products need to expression the idea of celebration and ‘the sweet life’ that John and Anna had built on the estate.
