It was through the hectares of vineyards and by the hands of whose got the knowledge and the traditions, that creative concept arised. Design: Daria Stetsenko
Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
Client: Jays : Coffee Brewers
Location: Ukraine
Packaging Contents: Coffee, Cold Brew, Lemonade
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Paper, Plastic
Printing Process: Digital printing, Manual printing

Jays : Coffee Brewers is a coffee shop in Zaporizhia, Ukraine. Main brand qualities are local roast, arabica only menu and manual brewing. The old logo had the image of a flying bird that symbolizes freedom. Our task was to design a new logo, visual identity system and packaging. The primary requirements were the presence of a bird in the logo and black and white palette in combination with the brown color of kraft paper.

We created a bird that symbolizes strength and lightness at the same time. Straightened wings tell us about freedom, goodwill, and openness. The typography system consists of a modern monospaced font that creates modest and straightforward brand character. The color palette allows the brand unobtrusively fit into the urban space. In addition to the visual identity system, we designed packaging for coffee beans, cold brew, and coffee cups. The label's design is built on simple typography without decoration, focusing on the meaning, not the form.

Client: Natural Yanniss
Location: Andorra
Packaging Contents: Solid and liquid soaps
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Cardboard boxes and paper labels
Printing Process: Digital printing

Natural Yanniss is a natural soap brand that combines tradition and craft. Its ecological vegan soap bars, as well as its bottled products are olive oil-based and organically produced in Sierra del Segura, (Spain).

I was commissioned to create the branding and packaging for the brand. My goal when creating the branding was to represent the main component of the soaps, olive oil, as well as reflecting the values of craft. The botanical motifs are inspired by William Morris wallpaper Arts & Crafts designs, as well as the pattern designs created for the four product families.

The range of products was very extensive so they were divided into four different product groups: Pharmacy, Herbal shop, Premium and Men's line, differentiated by the pattern designs but unified by the branding and logo.

The patterns were created out of the ornamental elements present in the logo, geometrical shapes and the "Y" from Yanniss. Color was used to characterize the different scents of each product family.

Mr Black coffee liqueur, also known as “cold drip coffee perfection” has a broad following from its home of Australia to the UK, with plans to launch in USA next year. With a growing consumer base the brand had outgrown its fashionable label and needed to strengthen its positioning, and inject purpose to engage new consumers and set it up for growth.

Co Partnership were tasked to build more meaning into the brand, starting first with the primary pack, building a suite of equities that not only work hard on pack but also in brand activation and digital platforms. We did this by investigating what values were at the heart of Mr Black to attain the truth to build our story around. We discovered a love and reverence of real coffee, a daily ritual ingrained in modern Australian culture.

With just enough mystery to be part alchemy, part magic, we developed the brand positioning of ‘Spiritual Awakening’ which inspired the design of the coffee bean eye logo. Working with NYC illustrators ‘Young Jerks’, we brought the positioning to life with mystical process icons and a new back label revel.

Together we established an iconic brand for Mr Black that ensures it has ongoing relevance for its consumer and dominates the market for years to come.

Seedlip Grove 42

Agency: Pearlfisher
Founding Partner & CEO: Mike Branson
Creative Director: Hamish Campbell
Client Director: Susan Levy
Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
Location: United States

Pearlfisher creates the packaging design for Seedlip Grove 42, now available in the United States.

As the third variant in just three years, Seedlip Grove 42 contributes a citrus-forward flavor to the Seedlip product family. Combining bitter orange, mandarin, blood orange, lemongrass, ginger and lemon, this clean blend continues the brand’s mission to communicate a unique proposition in the drinks market as the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit.

Pearlfisher’s challenge was identifying the distinct layers that set Grove 42 apart from the variants that came before—Spice 94 and Garden 108—in order to bring the integrity of the individual spirit to the forefront of the brand. Beyond the mainstays such as the cap color inspired by the copper stills used to create the product, we illustrated the natural ingredients of Grove to cue the product experience against a muted orange color palette, which is displayed on the face of the bottle and throughout the full range of brand touchpoints.

Hamish Campbell, Creative Director at Pearlfisher New York, adds, ”Our partnership with Seedlip enables us to expand on the visual ingredient cues that lend to the product’s desirability. Like the Hare and the Fox from the variants that precede it, the Squirrel on Seedlip Grove 42 stands alone as a unique experience from the shelf to the glass, while burrowing into the equities that are now second nature with Seedlip. This is a brand full of innovation in the non-alcoholic drinks category and it’s imperative that we underscore this fact through our strategy and design.”

Ben Branson, Founder of Seedlip, comments, “The drinks industry is a fascinating, wonderful community comprised of bartenders, chefs and people who are extremely passionate about what they're
doing. We’re really excited to share Grove with this community and beyond. Maintaining a thread of innovation at Seedlip keeps us lean and fast on the outside, and it keeps us grounded and connected to the natural world on the inside.”

This addition arrives in the wake of Seedlip's ground-breaking global success that led the brand to be included in some of the best cocktail bars, Michelin-star restaurants and hotels across the world.
