    Project Type: Concept
    Location: Barnaul, Russia
    Packaging Contents: Beer
    Packaging Substrate / Materials: Paper

Last Incident Brewing Company (LIBC) is a small brewery in Siberia, which is gaining popularity among fans of real craft beer very quickly. We had an aim to develop the name of the brewery, the concept of the brand and beer labels for the three most popular sorts of the company. The concept was based on the understanding of craft beer as a drink with its own character, different from beer in large supermarkets. Add to this the spirit of experimentation, frenzied expression and a sense of exclusivity. And we get the result in grunge style! That's exactly what is it, the beer from the Last Incedent Brewing Company.

  • 12/04/18--23:47: Moolanda

  • Agency: Cornershop
    Creative Director: Damian Hamilton
    Designers: Damian Hamilton, Emily Schultz
    Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
    Client: Moolanda
    Location: Adelaide, Australia
    Packaging Contents: Wine
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Glass bottle, Paper
Printing Process: CMYK, High build screen varnish

Moolanda is the new name for LanzThomson, boutique premium wine producers from Barossa Valley. Cornershop were appointed to develop a brand identity for the company and packaging for three tiers of wines. Moolanda is an Aboriginal word meaning "on the far side". The Moolanda vineyard is located on the far side of Barossa Valley. Aboriginal tribes roamed the valley for thousands of years and understood its unique qualities. Several rock art sites found in the region contain ancient drawings created using red, yellow and white ochre; rocks which can be found on the Moolanda vineyard this very day. The way the soil interacts with these rocks affects how the vines grow. They are an invaluable part of the grape growing process for Moolanda.

The Moolanda branding and packaging is inspired by the terroir (land) and the vineyards Aboriginal connection. The illustration or graphic features dots that represent shallow layers of soil over layers of rocks; unique attributes of the Moolanda vineyards.

The label is printed on uncoated paper in earthy tones with details finished in a high build gloss varnish to add value. Each product in the range sells for approximately A$30 rrp.

  • 12/05/18--22:53: Winery IN

  • Design: JUST MACHINE
    Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
    Client: Winery IN
    Location: Belgrade, Serbia
    Packaging Contents: Wine
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Glass bottle
Printing Process: Digital printing, Screen printing, Foil stamping, Offset, hot foil

The wine produced in ILIC-NIJEMCEVIC winery is the end product of a process that blends the traditional and contemporary technological approach in the production of quality wine.

IN winery is a young winery that emerged on the slopes of Fruška Gora mountain in Serbia, on the very location where wine has been produced for the past 300 years. The old passion for wine was replaced by fresh enthusiasm and love that the two families shared. Together, they decided to reconstruct the old vineyards and start the production anew.

Since a new wine is being introduced on the market, our task was to use visual identity to show how modern meets traditional, with a special emphasis on `modern`. The modern label design with the centrally positioned minimalist circular logo suggests a youthful spirit, a hint of boldness, audacity and bravery. The traditional aspect is, however, reflected in the printout of the central typographic part of the logo IN whose elegant stylized lines, which depict an illusion of the vine trees, represent the traditional characteristics of all quality wine - elegance and delicacy.

  • 12/05/18--23:03: RUBIN

  • Agency: Backbone Branding
    Creative Director: Stepan Azaryan
    Technical Designer: Anush Ghazaryan
    Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
    Client: Ibari
    Location: Yerevan, Armenia
    Packaging Contents: Wine
    Packaging Substrate / Materials: Paper

Rubin is a rich pomegranate wine with a brilliant red hue. The project is inspired by nature and has biomimicry principles in its base. The naming also recalls to gemstone ruby, which associates with the pomegranate seeds perfectly.

The packaging has a very strong conceptual design, which describes the product perfectly from first sight. The aim was to use minimum resources and get a maximum result by covering an ordinary wine bottle with a unique structural metallic paper box that also can be considered as its label.

Rubin has a constructional design with a round base and hexagon body, which end ins a triangle shape. If we line up the Rubin wines neatly, one next to the other, from the top angle we see a perfect structure, which completely fills the space, without any gaps, right like attached pomegranate seeds.

In order to create the right visual effects, a special printing technique was applied. As a result, we got deep ruby shades on matte-metallic paper with kind of holographic effect, which has specific reflections from different angles and imitates the sparkles of the ruby gemstone.

This labelbox project with its attractive visual effect has an outstanding shelf life, which effects directly on the merchandising strategy of the product and makes it stand out in the competition.

    Design: Oyster Retail Packaging
    Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
    Client: Laura Ashley
    Location: Nottingham, UK
    Packaging Contents: Perfume
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Plastic, Cardboard
Printing Process: Digital Printing, Foil Stamping

Laura Ashley came to use looking for a set of boxes that follow their iconic style they need a floral theme that's in keeping with other products and packaging.

We've created a number of boxes that not only look fantastic but also offers excellent protection for the fragile items inside. Due to the fact that some of these boxes will be housing perfume, we needed to make sure each one had the right structural support and could withstand damage while preserving the contents within. The use of cardboard meant that we'd be able to protect the contents but also create an elegant style that exudes a luxury feel. What's more, it accommodated the shape we'd be going for due to the malleable nature.

One of these boxes not only needed to house perfume bottles but showcase them too. This meant that we had to design a rigid box that features a window. The problem with this style was that there was limited protection for the perfume inside. The standard workaround is to create a moulded insert to house the bottles.

The foil stamping of the Laura Ashley brand name and butterflies brings a depth to the pice that otherwise wouldn't exist. This also breaks up the textures and creates a satisfying balance.
