The two slits on sidewalls of the packaging strip lock the pot and make it easy to handle.

The graphics were kept simple and elegant to give a plant look to the package. The color combination of green leaves with soil patch on top makes it look a plant and the walls were highlighted with green and red depending on the seeds like chilly’s was kept red and spinach was kept green. The typography was calligraphy giving it casual and elegant look. The seed name in Hindi was also given below the main product name and the contents of the kit were highlighted on right.

The planter kit has three main things inside- Pot, cocopeat discs, and seeds. To use the planter kit, we created 4 simple graphical steps on the back side of the packaging for a better experience of the user.

Creative Agency: M&A Creative Agency
Project Type: Produced, Commercial Work
Client: Honrado
Location: Anadia, Portugal
Packaging Contents: Wine
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Glass Bottle and Paper Label
Printing Process: Hot stamping and varnish

In Portugal, the Alentejo region has long been the guardian of talha wines. Here, the techniques developed by the Romans for making wine in the clay amphorae called talhas have been safeguarded. It is in the region of Vila de Frades, a small town in the heart of Alentejo with less than 900 inhabitants which is recognized today as "the Capital of Amphora Wine", and where Honrado family began 15 years ago this production of wine. In 2016, with a growing interest in winemaking, Ruben Honrado decides to create a new project of amphora wine. Our team was inspired by this millenarian technique of fermenting grapes in clay hoists to develop the creative concept for packaging design and photographic production. The bottles are painted in clay tones and the label has the shape of one Talha.

There are two different labels: one is simplest and minimalist and the other, a limited edition with thousand enumerated bottles, has an illustration of a Roman festival, referring, clearly , the origins of the nectar. In addition, we also created the branding inspired by the Roman Ruins of São Cucufate where traces of artisanal wine production have been found.

Brief
Achieve on-shelf standout in an overcrowded and ‘safe’ category. Use a start-up budget to create a strong platform on which to build the brand.

Problem
The outdoor paint market is saturated and addresses purely the functionality of the products. Not only that, at point of sale, range navigation and messaging tends to be confusing and cluttered, with uninspired brands struggling to differentiate themselves. The client approached Brown&co (B&co) to create a new brand from scratch that would stand out in this crowded and bland marketplace.

Solution

Together with their client, B&co, identified a clear gap for a more design-oriented and aesthetically-considered brand that could elevate the entire category.

Exterior Design was born.

Location: Athens, Greece
Packaging Contents: Milk
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Plastic Bottle

Low & Slow is part of a new generation of fresh milk products - the first of its type placed on the Greek market by the Mandrekas dairy industry - processed in a forgotten traditional way. The milk is pasteurized in small batches, slowly and at low temperatures, for much longer than regular fresh milk. The result is a product with very high nutritional value and rich flavour.

The Low & Slow bottle is representative of a nostalgia for an era when things were barely processed, and still pure. The transparent bottle and label allow consumers to visualize the rich texture of the milk. The engraved milk-churn creates a contrast with the contemporary, daring typography, in a play between tradition and the evolution of modern dairy farming.

It was a huge investment in our operational infrastructure, but the result is a product that finally makes sense.”

Inspired by colorful paintings decorated by Vietnamese families in Lunar New Year festival occasion, we turned a boring traditional calendar of numbers into vibrant pictures tell stories on the wall. According to the Vietnamese 12-year circle of zodiac, 2017 is the year of roaster, the creature is a proverbial mascot to the five virtues – responsibility, fidelity, courage, kindness, and confidence. Feng shui practitioners paint a red Rooster on walls to safeguard the home and bring good lucky.

The design concept is a combination of traditional spirit to be suitable for Lunar New Year atmosphere and modern brand visual languages. We assigned each watercolor painting in per month page to tell a bespoke story of a successful and happy moment of banking user which is a good match with a special day or a notable celebration remarked on the calendar. Developing from the bank's logo, patterns with slightly different shades subtly appear page over page to decorate as well as evoke the brand.

Packaging Contents: Tissues
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Paper

When we took on the task of redesigning the facial tissue packages for Softex, the most traditional Greek brand in this category, a sense of humour and Greek family stereotypes became our primary tools. We thought it would be fun to have a product that we use daily, usually at vulnerable moments, remind us of our mums. Besides, who else is always there to look after us, whether we have a simple cold or are going through yet another rough break-up?

Thus, we designed packaging for men and for women, inspired by typical mummy-ish quotes that regularly console or annoy us. "I told you not to go outside without your coat on! You'll catch your death one of these days.", a concerned mother scolds her sniffling son. "Don't cry, sweetheart! He didn't deserve you!", another mum consoles her daughter after a break-up.

In pleasing contrast to the traditional quotes, we worked with pop, monochrome artwork: a nod to the wardrobe of every spoiled son, and the toiletry case of a luxury-loving daughter.

Location: Moscow, Russia
Packaging Contents: Sauce
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Glass jar, Glass bottle, Plastic

‘Oh, man!’ is a range of sauces for strong in spirit men who are used to risk and experience everything on themselves. It is also a simple way to add spice to the familiar dishes without show off with exotic tastes.

The idea of this product was born from a combination of safety signs and the toughness of Russian human nature. The product line is represented by ketchup, mustard and horseradish sauce. Sauce types are marked by package colour and warning labels near the logo. Simple bright colors also make the packaging noticeable against the background of the rest of the store's products.

These sauces are a real challenge for those who decided to taste them and stay alive. Not everyone will survive!

Client: Bacchus Internationale Weine GmbH
Location: Duesseldorf, Germany
Packaging Contents: Red wine
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Glass bottle
Printing Process: Screen-printing, Foil stamping, Embossed structured black paper

The label design should consciously break with traditional wine labels.

It should show the kangaroo as the national symbol of Australia in an independent way.

Tattoos represent a young and rebellious lifestyle. The new wine name "Roo Tattoo" is a phonetically memorable use ("Roo" is Australian slang for "Kangaroo").

It was important to ensure that the kangaroo does not look lovely or even cute, but wild and original. This could be abstracted and any style parallels with known brands or representants of Australia should be avoided.

The design language should be rough and unpolished like the Australian Outback.

The wine itself: Red wine (Shiraz / Cabernet) with a typical high alcohol content for Australian wines. Ideally, the wine is not too finely grained, but retains a touch of something raw originality.
